Evander Holyfield’s son has released a throwback video of Mike Tyson sharing valuable advice ahead of one of his amateur fights.
Evan Holyfield made his professional boxing debut in November 2019 and has already gone 8-0. The 24-year-old has fought at light middleweight so far and has six of his eight wins by TKO/KO. Before starting in pro, the son of Evander Holyfield had to prove himself among amateurs, like any other boxer.
He recently took to Twitter to post a video of one of his very first amateur fights. Interestingly, Tyson, his father’s former nemesis, can be seen giving advice to Holyfield, urging him to have fun in the ring.
“Fight well, win a tough fight, prepare for a tough fight. Don’t be afraid to throw punches, okay? Relax, it’s alright. Have fun, don’t put pressure [on yourself]Have fun.”
Jake Paul is ready to fight Mike Tyson at heavyweight
Speculation about a potential fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul has been going on for a while now. Although Tyson has made it clear he has no interest in returning to the boxing ring, “The Problem Child” has publicly offered to fight the former heavyweight champion.
In a recent appearance on The trip podcast, Paul suggested he was even willing to move up to heavyweight to fight Tyson. While claiming it could easily be a $200-300 million event, the social media star said:
“I joke with my friends about it, I’m like, ‘I’m going to start eating Krispy Kreme donuts, move up to heavyweight and fight Mike Tyson. That would really excite me and it’s a $200-300 million event. So Mike, if you’re watching this, let’s have fun. New school versus old school and I think that’s something fans would want to see.
