Top 25 Fastest Growing DTC Brands in Q4 Include MatchaBar, VineBox, KiwiCo
2020 has been a big year for direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands. An overall increase in e-commerce has highlighted digitally agile businesses that could continue to serve customers beyond physical stores.
SimilarWeb, which provides information on global digital traffic to websites and apps, identified the 25 fastest growing direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce brands in the United States for the fourth quarter. The quarterly report follows similar reports for Q1, T2, and T3.
This quarter’s top performing brands, which represent the apparel, food and beverage, electronics, health and wellness, parenting and lifestyle industries, have demonstrated the impact of holiday buying trends during the fourth quarter in the digital sector, said Jamie Drayton, SimilarWeb senior ecommerce consultant. . A variety of new food and drink subscription services, such as VineBox, Fuego Box, and MatchaBar, saw strong engagement on their websites this quarter.
“Now more than ever, consumers are interested in experience-based gifts that can be enjoyed from the comfort and safety of their own home,” said Drayton.
Like SimilarWeb’s reports for previous quarters, brands had to register at least 10,000 monthly visits to their sites and demonstrate their strengths in terms of social and financial performance to be eligible for the list. To rank brands, SimilarWeb found which brands on the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) ‘s most recent list of “250 direct brands to watch” had the highest quarter-over-quarter traffic growth.
