Yesterday, July 17th, unfortunately we have to give the traditional 10 bell tally to a true undisputed champion, Beth Gibbons, who has passed away.

One of the most famous boxing players, Sean Gibbons, has lost his dear mother. Beth was an undisputed champion who was a deeply loved and cherished part of the Gibbons team. Beth has faced all of life’s challenges and tasks with the determination and character of an undisputed great. Through fabulous victories and life’s inevitable struggles, Beth has shown the heart and character of a champion at all times. Although she can still be called the a champion, she would certainly reject all accolades as it was her immediate and extended family who always came first in her life.

Sean Gibbons, is known in the boxing world as the man behind the wheel of legend Manny Pacquiao’s “PacMan Promotions”. Gibbons is also the agent, manager and matchmaker for some of the best in boxing – his team is large and he works with countless people in the sport. However, no one was higher in his list of talents than his beloved mother. His home and his heart have always been welcome to all of Sean’s fighters. Whether it was ringside in a fight or while sharing a great meal – laughs, smiles and precious memories were shared with Beth welcoming some of the best boxers in the world.

If you were in Sean’s life, you knew “Moms” – and everyone loved him.

Beth, as a mother and grandmother, for her beloved family, was simply one of the best. Time spent with Beth was to reveal a woman of great character, unconditional love for her family, and a kind and generous heart. Heaven’s P4P roster just got a new champion.

Speaking to Sean, shortly after his mother passed away, “I was so lucky and lucky to have had the mother I’ve had my whole life. She was just the best. J really was the luckiest guy to have a mom like that. Moms are the best. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about her. My heart is heavy today, but I have to remember that I was truly blessed. I feel like the luckiest kid to ever have for mom. She was an O’Grady, so her boxing lineage was deep, and she was truly the connection that introduced me to boxing. I owe him everything, “he said.

Indeed, she was the best of our best. Rest in love and peace. May your memory be eternal and precious like a life well lived. Long live Beth!

To quote from the famous Irish prayer – “Until we meet again, may the Lord hold you in the palm of his hand”

Gone But Never Forgotten – Rest in peace and love Beth, our beloved and undisputed champion!

MaxBoxing, and the entire MaxBoxing team, extend their sincere condolences to the Gibbons family.
