‘Leeches’ and ‘Hangers’ Make America ‘Dreadful Job’ for Tyson Fury
Tyson Fury is making a mistake on the “yes men” around him before a trilogy battle with Deontay Wilder. This is the point of view of his own father, John Fury.
As Fury steps up his training camp through eight weeks of intense training to prepare for Wilder, John has misgivings about his state of mind.
“The Gypsy King” is preparing to make the first defense of his heavyweight crown despite two reigns as champion.
John thinks he may have surrounded himself with too many people.
“As long as I’m alive and fit and capable, I want to do my best for Tommy and Tyson,” John told BT Sport.
“But Tyson, obviously, is in a different league now. Twenty thousand “yes men” around him. This is what happens when you get to the top. There are a lot of leeches there, a lot of hangers.
“You can see what’s going on over there in America with him. Terrible work, to be honest with you.

“It’s just my opinion. But I am simple. It’s Tyson’s business. He is over 21 years old. It’s up to him to decide.
Opponent Wilder, on the other hand, is well placed, according to co-manager Shelly Finkel.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Finkel revealed that the former belt holder was thrilled with the way the arbitration went between the two.
“He [Wilder] mentally it’s great, ”said Finkel. “He wants this more than anything. He spends time and training, and whatever it takes to get it.
“If he can’t beat Fury like he planned now, then he just can’t beat the guy, but I think he will.
“I have seen things before and I have seen what they are now,” he added.
TYSON FURY EVENT
Fury vs. Wilder III will compete with Errol Spence vs. Manny Pacquiao for the title of “biggest fight of the summer”, both taking place in the boxing capital of the world – Las Vegas.
With a few weeks apart, fans will descend on Nevada [possibly from the UK too if the travel ban is lifted] to attend two historic events.
Wilder and Pacquiao start off as underdogs and will have everything to do to come out again as world champions.
