Kremlev praises McLaren for thorough investigation into IBA past

IBA President Umar Kremlev has stressed the importance of the McLaren Global Sport Solutions (MGSS) independent investigation and its findings for the future of boxing at the Olympic Games.
Today, Professor Richard McLaren presented the results of his boxing survey at the press conference in Lausanne.
Kremlev praised McLaren for their work – hoping all questions regarding the IBA will be answered.
“I am grateful to Professor McLaren and his team for the pivotal role they have played in the boxing reform process. IBA will work to implement its recommendations based on the principles of transparency and integrity. We are committed to making our sport clean and changing the general culture that led to the crisis that plagued our sport,” Kremlev said.
“We all know that IBA’s image has been damaged due to the organization’s mismanagement and years of wrongdoing, corruption, biased judgment. Our task is to restore it and build an organization trustworthy company that takes care of its athletes and coaches first Culture change does not happen overnight, but we do everything we can to ensure that proper training for our officials will lead to the highest level of refereeing at our events,” he added.
