How to Get Your Day 2 Tui and Chronomics Covid-19 Results Faster
The latest government advice says travelers returning to England from abroad must take a Covid-19 test.
The test you need to take will depend on where you visited in the ten days prior to your return.
If you have been to a Green or Orange List country, you will need a Day 2 test, to be taken a few days after you return home.

There are different rules for Red List countries, so we’ve done our best to explain them below. It is important that you check the government website for the best advice, however, as the rules are subject to change.
If you’ve traveled with Tui, chances are you’ve booked your day two test with Chronomics, a government-authorized provider that offers test packages to all Tui package vacation customers this summer.
Chronomics tests are available from £ 20 per person including delivery and return costs.
Previously, you had to mail your second day Chronomics test via Royal Mail so customers were subject to weekend delays and at the mercy of the postal system.
Now Chronomics has announced that customers don’t have to post their results to a Royal Mail Priority letterbox – they can simply drop them off at a Tui store instead.
Chronomics explains why it introduced this new method.
“We have noticed that some of our clients are waiting longer than we would like to get their results, and this is due to delays with Royal Mail services rather than our laboratories handling the samples,” he said. he writes on his website.
“TUI and Chronomics are committed to providing a fast and efficient testing service, so we have set up a rapid returns network that will ship your sample directly from TUI stores to our labs, 7 days a week.
“This means you can get peace of mind, faster results (sometimes the same day you drop off your sample) and get your life back on track. “
You can find drop-off points here, but in our area this includes the Tui branch at Fort Mall, Merry Hill, and Walsall Hypermarket.
You can also drop Fit To Fly test kits into stores.
Red List Return Rules
If you have been in a Red List country, you must take a Covid-19 test (under 10s are not required) before returning. You must have a negative result within three days of your trip.
You must also book a quarantine hotel package that includes transportation in quarantine, two Covid-19 tests, and complete a passenger locator form.
Upon your return to England, you must quarantine yourself in a managed hotel for ten days. You must take a test no later than the second day and on or after the eighth day of your stay.
The government says you need to book your tests before you travel and allow enough time for them to be delivered to your address in England.
Amber List Return Rules
There are different rules for vaccinated and unvaccinated Britons.
If you are fully vaccinated , you will then need to take a Covid-19 test before traveling to England, book and pay for a second-day Covid-19 test to be performed after arriving in England, and complete a passenger tracing form.
You will also need to declare that you have been fully vaccinated on your passenger tracking form and show proof of your vaccination status to your airline, train or ferry service provider.
Alternatively, if you have participated in an officially approved UK Covid-19 vaccine trial, or if you are under 18 and reside in the UK, you should clearly indicate this on your form.
If you are not fully vaccinated (or you have been in France) then you will need to take a Covid-19 test (under 10 exempt), book and pay for the Covid-19 tests on days two and eight after your return, and complete your locating passengers.
You will also need to quarantine yourself at home or where you are staying for 10 days upon your return, and take a Covid-19 test no later than day 2 and on or after day 8.
Children under the age of four do not have to take the second or eighth day tests.
Green List Return Rules
If you’ve been to a Green List country, the same rules apply whether or not you are vaccinated.
Before traveling to England, passengers over 10 years old must take a Covid-19 test. They must also book and pay for a second-day Covid-19 test to be taken after arriving in England.
They too must complete a passenger tracking form.
As with the above, children under the age of four do not have to take the day two test.
You don’t have to quarantine unless the test result is positive, unless NHS Test and Trace tells you to.
