Asda follows Aldi and launches a luxury £5 food product that everyone loves

Supermarket giant ASDA has followed in Aldi’s footsteps and launched a popular luxury food that everyone loves – for a high five. Whenever it’s on Aldi’s shelves, it sells out fast, and the same is expected in ASDA.
Today, the ASDA launched Wagyu steaks in stores, at incredibly low prices. The Deluxe Steak Cuts are only available for a limited time, from just £5. Asda stocks Extra Special Wagyu Rump (£5), Sirloin (£6), Ribeye (£6.50) and Filet (£7.50) at 28 stores and April until 18 and May*.
Typically priced from £50 to hundreds of pounds per steak, these highly sought after cuts are revered by foodies the world over. ASDA’s Extra Special Wagyu steaks are available at a fraction of the price steak lovers would typically expect to pay for Wagyu.

Wagyu ribeye steak is considered one of the tastiest cuts. The special appeal of this cut of steak is that it has a rich marbling of fat that melts when cooked, providing guaranteed flavor and succulence.
According to the ASDA, tenderloin steaks are considered the most tender and tender cuts of steak. Extra Special Wagyu Tenderloin Steaks are extra tender with guaranteed succulence and full flavor. Beef tenderloin is a very lean cut of beef with little fat running through it which, when properly prepared and cooked, will melt in your mouth.
The Extra Special Wagyu Sirloin is an excellent steak for capturing the qualities of the wagyu breed, with a beefier flavor than other cuts. The marbling gives the steak extra succulence and a tender mouthfeel full of flavor.
An Asda spokesperson commented: ‘Those who know their steaks will know how amazing it is to have these superb cuts of Wagyu on our shelves at these prices. Wagyu is so flavorful and truly offers a luxurious feel that’s perfect for anyone planning a steak night this weekend, or just wanting to experiment with a cut of steak they’ve never tried before. We can guarantee you won’t be disappointed!”
Wagyu steaks are not currently on sale according to Aldi’s website, so ASDA’s offer will come as a relief to meat-loving shoppers.
